A law firm seeks a Labor and Employment Associate with 3-5 years of experience in complex employment litigation to join their team in Los Angeles. The firm represents employers in high-stakes employment disputes and advises on workforce practices to prevent issues.

Duties

• Represent employers in single plaintiff employment disputes and wage and hour class actions.
• Advise clients on workforce practices and policies.
• Draft substantive motions, including motions to dismiss and for summary judgment.
• Appear in court for contested hearings.
• Advise on California wage and hour compliance and manage audits.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in complex employment litigation.
• Understanding of federal and state employment laws.
• Experience with wage and hour class actions and single plaintiff cases.
• Experience with restrictive covenant issues under California law.
• Experience taking and defending depositions.
• Experience with Traditional Labor is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in California.

Skills

• Strong litigation and advocacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage complex cases and advise clients effectively.
