Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm in Atlanta, GA, is seeking an experienced Insurance and Reinsurance Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex insurance coverage matters and reinsurance litigation, focusing on high-exposure claims. Ideal candidates will possess strong litigation skills and a comprehensive understanding of various insurance policies, including professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers policies.

Duties:

• Draft and file pleadings, dispositive motions, and discovery requests/responses
• Manage all aspects of discovery, including discovery motions and motion practice
• Conduct depositions and participate in court appearances as needed
• Independently manage cases from start to finish
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and team members on complex legal issues
• Develop and maintain client relationships
• Contribute to business development and marketing efforts
• Provide superior research and writing support for case preparation

Requirements:

• 4-7 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation
• Strong understanding of insurance coverage issues, including professional liability, general liability, and D&O policies
• Proven experience in civil litigation, including drafting motions, conducting discovery, and representing clients in court
• Ability to independently manage caseloads and work under minimal supervision
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients in a dynamic environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in good standing in Georgia (or eligibility to waive in)

Skills:
