Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Privacy and Cyber Litigation Associate to join their team in Miami, FL. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 6 years of litigation experience, preferably in privacy, cyber, consumer-focused, or class action litigation, and/or federal court litigation.

Duties

• Manage day-to-day case activities and lead fact investigations.
• Research legal issues and develop litigation strategies.
• Draft pleadings, including answers, motions to dismiss, and motions for summary judgment.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Negotiate with opposing counsel.

Requirements

• Excellent academic and professional credentials.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Comfortable managing client relationships.
• Federal clerkship experience preferred.
• Experience with the Fair Credit Reporting Act or other privacy-related statutes is a plus.
• Ability to deliver smaller projects with limited supervision and manage workflow for larger projects.
• Must be in good standing in the state of residence.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the state of residence.

Skills

• Case management and litigation strategy development.
• Strong legal research and drafting skills.
• Effective negotiation and communication abilities.
