Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Cal OSHA Associate in Irvine, CA. The successful candidate will support and guide clients on workplace safety and health compliance requirements for Cal OSHA regulations, while managing other labor and employment matters as needed.

Duties

• Support and guide business partners on environmental and workplace safety compliance.
• Manage outside counsel and vendors on global EH&S issues.
• Develop relationships with regulatory agencies and influence policy development.
• Handle litigation related to workplace safety and discrimination matters.
• Represent clients in negotiations and mediations.
• Provide crisis management for workplace safety and health matters.

Requirements

• J.D. from an ABA accredited law school with exceptional academic credentials.
• 3+ years of employment litigation experience preferred; Cal OSHA experience required.
• Class action or public sector experience a plus.
• Admitted to practice law in the State Bar of the Associate's primary office.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• J.D. from an ABA accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice law in the relevant state.

Skills

• Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative, team environment.
