Labor & Employment Staff Counsel
Responsibilities: Assist in the negotiations of Collective Bargaining Agreements in coordination with General Counsel and with outside labor counsel. Conduct and accurately document thorough, impartial investigations of employee relations matters of all types and recommend appropriate courses of action while identifying risk and developing mitigation strategies. Collaborate and coordinate with Employee Relations Manager, VP of HR, and General Counsel, as appropriate, on outcomes of employee relations matters. Ensure that all investigation reports are prepared in a clear, comprehensive, cohesive and timely manner. Develop and maintain investigation methodology and processes that are consistent across the Company; identify employee relations problem areas and provide solutions. Develop training modules and materials specific to investigation and other employment matters. Support and lead other initiatives/projects such as policy modification, workforce trends, best practices, etc. as needed. Demonstrates an understanding and commitment to equity, inclusion and diversity concepts, and that they are broader than just race, ethnicity, and gender. Demonstrates self-awareness, in terms of understanding their own culture, identity, biases, prejudices, power, privilege and stereotypes.
