A law firm seeks an experienced attorney to join its growing general practice team in Melville, NY.

Duties

• Manage residential real estate matters, including drafting and negotiating purchase contracts and overseeing closings

• Handle lease agreements for landlords and tenants

• Support litigation efforts by preparing pleadings, coordinating discovery, and liaising with opposing counsel

• Assist with estate administration tasks, such as drafting wills, powers of attorney, and probate documents

• Communicate regularly with clients, insurers, and court personnel to advance case progress

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of post-bar admission experience in residential real estate, litigation support, and estate work

• Active membership in the New York State Bar

• Proven ability to juggle multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced setting

• Excellent organizational habits and meticulous attention to detail

• Strong interpersonal aptitude, with confidence in written and verbal advocacy

Education

• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Admission to practice before all New York State courts

Skills
