General Liability Associate Attorney

A law firm in South Jordan, UT, is seeking a General Liability Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of civil litigation and a passion for providing exceptional client service. This position is designed for a highly motivated individual with excellent academic credentials and strong skills in client service, oral advocacy, and written communication.

Duties:

• Handle civil litigation and insurance defense cases.
• Manage discovery processes, including disclosures, taking and defending depositions.
• Draft and argue motions in court.
• Make court appearances and represent clients effectively.
• Provide excellent client service and maintain strong client relationships.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff on case strategy and management.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and mediations.
• Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting cases.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience in civil litigation and/or insurance defense.
• Active member in good standing with the State Bar of Utah.
• Proven experience with discovery, disclosures, depositions, motions, and court appearances.
• Highly motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Excellent academic credentials.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school.

Certifications:

Active membership in the Utah State Bar.
