A law firm in Salt Lake City, UT, is seeking an Associate Attorney with 1-2 years of experience in general liability litigation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for pre-trial and trial work, motion practice, depositions, case management, and maintaining considerable client contact. This position requires excellent research and writing skills.

Duties:

• Conduct pre-trial and trial work related to general liability litigation cases.
• Handle motion practice, including drafting and arguing motions.
• Conduct depositions of witnesses and experts.
• Manage cases from inception to resolution, including drafting pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence.
• Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates on case progress and obtain necessary information.
• Attend court hearings and conferences as required.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Utah State Bar in good standing.
• 1-2 years of experience in general liability litigation.
• Strong understanding of civil procedure and litigation process.
• Excellent research and writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Utah State Bar in good standing.
