The candidate will understand due diligence and its purpose. Conduct basic legal research. Create and maintain email distribution lists, closing checklists and coordinate closings. Prepare signature page packets. Understand transaction documents, their purpose and contractual provisions in contracts. Familiarity with the tax credit industry, federal and state tax law issues and how they impact transactions at a basic level, and debtor/creditor issues. Complete projects within given deadlines. Provide status updates throughout the project. Coordinate projects with direct supervision from attorneys and senior paralegals on most matters. Stay current with basic concepts and continue education efforts. Perform other duties as assigned. Bachelor’s Degree is required. Work experience in lieu of a degree will be considered. Should have 4-6 years of paralegal experience. Paralegal certificate is preferred.
