Location

Duties

• Manage a full caseload of family law matters, including divorce, custody, child support, property disputes, and protective orders

• Handle cases from intake through resolution via settlement or trial

• Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and mediations

• Conduct legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and other legal documents

• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel

• Collaborate with legal support staff for case preparation and management

• Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards throughout representation

Requirements

• 1–5 years of experience practicing family law, including litigation

• Demonstrated experience with issues such as:

  • Divorce and legal separation

  • Child custody and support

  • CHINS and DCS matters

  • Protective Orders and property disputes

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and multitask

• Self-directed with the ability to work independently and handle court appearances confidently

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the state of Indiana

• Member in good standing with the Indiana State Bar

Skills

• Litigation and courtroom experience in family law

• Strong legal research and writing abilities

• Effective communication and negotiation skills

• Ability to manage high caseloads efficiently
