A growing law firm located in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area is seeking an Associate Attorney to support its expanding debt workout litigation practice. This position offers a unique blend of litigation and transactional responsibilities, including trial work, motion practice, mediation, and restructuring defaulted credit facilities. Location:

• Atlanta, GA

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues

• Draft legal pleadings, motions, and memoranda

• Review and interpret banking documents and credit agreements

• Represent clients at motion hearings and trials

• Negotiate debt settlements and loan restructurings

• Advise clients on litigation strategy and regulatory compliance risks

• Analyze title records to assess lien priority and property equity

• Manage individual caseload and coordinate litigation schedules

Requirements:

• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities

• Excellent verbal communication and client-facing skills

• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently

• Critical thinking and sound judgment in legal decision-making

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction (Georgia Bar not required)

• Good standing with respective state bar

Skills:

• Litigation and motion practice

• Contract and financial document analysis

• Negotiation and mediation in legal and financial contexts

• Property and title law knowledge (preferred)
