A law firm seeking an Associate Attorney in St. Louis, Missouri, is looking for a qualified candidate to handle local and national accounts in Illinois and Missouri. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for managing case files, drafting discovery, conducting depositions, preparing and arguing motions, investigating facts, attending court hearings and trials, and properly coordinating and delegating work to assigned legal assistants and paralegals.

Duties:

• Handle local and national accounts in Illinois and Missouri.
• Admission to practice in Missouri is required; secondary admission to the Illinois Bar is preferred.
• Demonstrate case management skills and precision in legal writing.
• Maintain a professional demeanor at depositions and court hearings in multiple jurisdictions.
• Possess excellent analytical and critical reasoning skills.
• Draft discovery documents.
• Conducted depositions and led plaintiff and expert depositions.
• Prepare and argue motions.
• Investigate facts relevant to cases.
• Attend court hearings and trials.
• Coordinate and delegate work to legal assistants and paralegals.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in Missouri and preferably Illinois.
• 1-3 years of litigation experience.
• Experience with motion practices and depositions.
• Superior research and writing skills.

Education:

Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
