1st Party Property Damage Attorney

Profile

A law firm is seeking a 1st Party Property Damage Attorney to join their team in Fort Myers. The candidate will be responsible for meeting with clients to discuss their cases, demonstrating compassion, empathy, and the ability to earn their trust, confidence, and respect. Additionally, they will provide clients with updates, communicate with insurance companies regarding claims, demands, and offers, and represent clients in various legal proceedings such as hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and mediations. The role requires superb negotiation skills and excellent verbal and written communication.

Duties:

• Meet with clients to discuss their cases and demonstrate compassion, empathy, trustworthiness, and respect
• Provide clients with regular updates on the status of their claims, demands, and offers
• Communicate effectively with insurance companies to negotiate settlements and agreements
• Attend hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and mediations on behalf of clients
• Utilize experience to evaluate claims and develop effective strategies
• Draft legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings as required
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies
• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure efficient case management
• Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation

Requirements:

• Membership in the Florida Bar and in good standing
• 2+ years of litigation experience, with preference given to candidates with First Party Property Damage experience
• Proficiency in claim evaluation processes and legal principles
• Exceptional negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful outcomes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to establish rapport with clients and earn their trust and confidence

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Member of the Florida Bar in good standing
