Associate Attorney needed for Las Vegas office

Job Overview:

A law firm is seeking a dedicated, experienced Associate Attorney to join their litigation team in Las Vegas, NV. The ideal candidate will provide initial case analysis, develop case strategies, and represent clients in court. This role requires excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills and a strong commitment to meeting deadlines and achieving goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide initial analysis and develop a case strategy.
• Prepare and respond to discovery requests.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Draft motions and attend hearings.
• Explain legal options to clients and highlight possible outcomes or threats.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients.
• Negotiate, research, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association-accredited law school.
• In good standing and able to practice law in the state of Nevada.
• Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong critical thinking skills and a solid academic background.
• High sense of urgency about problem-solving, meeting deadlines, and achieving goals.
• Knowledgeable, attentive, and proactive.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, public speaking, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a track record of meeting billable hours goals.
• Able to take the initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and effective.
• Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Experience with iManage and/or OneDrive is a plus.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in the state of Nevada and good standing.
