This senior-level opportunity is ideal for a seasoned litigator with substantial experience handling general liability, construction litigation, and transportation claims. Duties

• Independently manage a caseload involving insurance defense, general liability, transportation liability, and NYS Labor Law construction cases

• Handle court appearances, depositions, mediations, and negotiations

• Collaborate with attorneys, team members, and partners on legal strategies and complex litigation matters

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and legal memoranda

• Deliver clear, timely communication to clients, providing updates and strategic counsel

• Participate in OSHA hearings and regulatory compliance matters as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of substantial litigation experience

• Proven experience handling insurance defense, premises liability, and general liability cases

• Experience managing NY Labor Law §§200, 240, and 241 matters strongly preferred

• First and/or second chair trial experience highly desirable

• Prior experience with OSHA proceedings or regulatory compliance considered a plus

• Previous background with Corporation Counsel or a District Attorney's office a plus

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar

Skills

• Advanced knowledge of New York construction law

• Exceptional written and oral communication skills

• Strong business acumen and project management abilities

• Highly proficient with legal research tools and case management software

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
