Duties

  • Serve as general counsel to condominium and homeowners associations.
  • Draft, review, and amend governing documents, including declarations and bylaws.
  • Review and negotiate management agreements and vendor contracts.
  • Prepare and issue demand letters and compliance notices.
  • Advise boards on compliance with Indiana statutes.
  • Attend and advise at board and membership meetings.
  • Provide legal guidance on governance, elections, and enforcement policies.
  • Assist with budgeting issues, owner disputes, and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage HOA-related litigation matters.
  • Counsel boards on litigation risk and dispute resolution.
  • Support pre-litigation dispute resolution efforts.
  • Participate in Continuing Legal Education (CLE) programs.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Indiana Supreme Court.
  • 2-4 years of legal experience preferred.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines efficiently.
  • Professional, client-focused approach with strong communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Indiana Supreme Court.
