Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level Construction Associate to join its team in St. Louis. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with 3-5 years of experience in real estate and/or construction transactional or litigation matters. The successful candidate will work on national and international projects, gaining hands-on experience in both transactional and litigation aspects of construction law.

Duties

• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing practical solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver integrated service on construction matters.
• Draft and negotiate construction agreements, including design-build and EPC contracts.
• Support complex transactions related to real estate development and construction projects.
• Conduct due diligence and legal research for project development and risk management.
• Assist in resolving construction-related disputes through arbitration and litigation.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of sophisticated real estate practice experience; prior law firm experience required.
• Construction law experience is highly valued, but not mandatory.
• Admission to, and good standing with, the State Bar of New York or Missouri.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the State Bar of New York or Missouri.
