Job Overview

A law firm seeks a remote, full-time attorney licensed in Massachusetts to provide legal representation and limited-scope assistance to consumer clients involved in debt collection lawsuits. This position is fully remote, allowing the attorney to work from any location.

Duties

• Represent and defend clients in collection cases initiated by creditors or debt buyers.
• Provide limited-scope legal assistance, including reviewing and editing pro se answer drafts.
• Option to attend hearings or arrange for local coverage counsel when necessary.

Requirements

• Licensed and in good standing with the Massachusetts Bar.
• At least 5 years of civil litigation experience.
• Experience in consumer debt defense and/or collections preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• License to practice law in the state of Massachusetts.

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases.
