Job Overview

A law firm seeks a midlevel Asset Management and Investment Funds Associate to join its Washington, DC office. The ideal candidate will have two to six years of experience with open-end funds, closed-end funds, and/or exchange-traded funds, and experience representing investment companies, advisers, and board members under U.S. federal securities law.

Duties

• Advise on matters related to the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.
• Represent clients in compliance with the Securities Act of 1933 and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
• Collaborate with a team of experienced lawyers on diverse client matters.
• Engage in active mentoring and assume increasing responsibility.

Requirements

• Two to six years of relevant legal experience.
• Experience with mutual funds, closed-end funds, or ETFs.
• Strong preference for candidates with top-tier law firm or in-house asset manager experience.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
