A law firm seeks a Real Estate Litigation Attorney in Uniondale, NY. This role offers a significant opportunity for direct client interaction and trials with a diverse client base of well-known NYC landlords and developers. The position requires a commitment to excellence, with occasional late nights and weekends necessary to meet client needs.

Duties

• Draft motions for summary judgment and motions to compel.
• Appear daily in Landlord-Tenant court to argue motions and try cases.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of real estate/commercial litigation experience.
• Experience handling NYC-based Landlord-Tenant court appearances and preparing predicate notices.
• Experience drafting pleadings in plenary actions for breach of contract/lease/guaranty.
• Experience drafting lease modifications, surrender agreements, and related landlord-tenant agreements.
• Experience providing legal advice to real estate operators, focusing on NYC and the US.
• Landlord/Tenant trial experience is a plus.
• NYC-based real estate experience preferred.
• Comfortable managing significant email traffic daily.
• Commercial/construction litigation experience is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice law in New York State.
