Duties: Assist with matters relating to intellectual property as assigned, including performing trademark searches using electronic research tools, gathering information for trademark applications and renewals and preparation of reports and correspondence. Assist in monitoring and maintaining trademark and copyright portfolio. Assist in the preparation of I.P. docket inventories and reports. Assist in preparing application documents for filing with Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and Copyright Office. Draft and/or revise correspondence or communications relating to matters supporting departments. Assist in reviewing and preparing various corporate contracts, including services agreements and vendor contracts. Conduct legal research as requested. Complete special projects and other assignments as requested. Assist in reviewing and preparing State charitable solicitation registration filings. Assist in reviewing and preparing State business entity registrations. Analyze, review and make recommendations to organizational staff on proper trademark and copyright usage with regards to company correspondence and communications, organizational publications, and Internet webpages. Assist in reviewing and preparing cease and desist letters.
