Job Title: Litigation Case Development Attorney
Location: Saint Louis, MO

Job Overview:
A law firm is looking for a skilled attorney to join its Litigation Case Development team in Saint Louis, MO. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing complex legal matters with minimal supervision. The role involves a variety of responsibilities related to case management, client communication, legal research, and court motion practice. Prior experience in plaintiff’s asbestos cases is preferred, but not required. The firm values professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Duties:

• Manage legal cases from initiation to resolution, working closely with other team members and departments to ensure timely and effective processes.
• Conduct client depositions and travel as needed to accommodate client needs.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, providing status updates and explaining legal processes.
• Perform legal research and prepare cases for further development, ensuring that all necessary information is communicated to relevant departments.
• Draft and prepare various legal documents as required.
• Handle court motion practice when necessary.
• Participate in call center duties, including rotating weekend shifts.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in the plaintiff’s asbestos practice is highly preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned cases with little supervision.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Bar in Missouri or another jurisdiction.

Certifications:

• Admission to practice law in Missouri or another jurisdiction is required.

Skills:

• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Ability to independently manage cases and proactively solve issues.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
