A law firm seeks an Estate and Tax Planning Attorney with five to seven years of experience in high net worth estate and tax planning for their Latham, NY or Midtown NYC locations. The ideal candidate will have experience with various trusts, including Intentionally Defective Trusts and Charitable Trusts.

Duties

• Plan and draft Intentionally Defective Trusts, Spousal Limited Access Trusts, and other trust types.
• Collaborate with clients to develop comprehensive estate plans.
• Provide legal advice on tax implications and strategies.
• Work independently and as part of a team to meet client needs.

Requirements

• Five to seven years of experience in estate and tax planning.
• Licensed to practice law in New York.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.

Education

• Juris Doctor

Certifications

• Licensed to practice in New York

Skills

• Proficient in legal case management software, preferably Clio and/or NetDocuments.
• Proficiency with Wealth Docs preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Superior communication and critical thinking skills.
