Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Workers' Compensation Attorney to join its Chicago, IL office. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5+ years of experience in workers' compensation law and will work closely with seasoned attorneys to develop their skills and manage their own caseload.

Duties

• Conduct substantive legal research and analysis.
• Participate in pre-trials and case management conferences.
• Develop medical knowledge to support litigation efforts.
• Manage and build a personal caseload.
• Engage in courtroom appearances and arbitration hearings.

Requirements

• Three to five plus years of legal experience.
• Basic or working knowledge of workers' compensation law.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Excellent negotiation and written communication skills.

Education

• Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in Illinois or Indiana, or eligibility to obtain one.
