Senior Protocol Analyst - Human Research Protection Program
The candidate serves as regulatory compliance analyst, educator and manager who exercises operational responsibility on a daily basis for the Institutional Review Board(s) to which they are assigned charged with protecting the rights and welfare of human research participants. Responsible, either directly or through managing others, for ensuring that IRB protocols satisfy federal regulations, guidelines and institutional requirements. Must have Bachelor's degree. Should have 4+ years of experience working in human research protections working with an institutional review board. Could also possess a Juris Doctor degree, have 4+ years of relevant legal experience with a law firm, governmental agency or corporate entity, and be admitted to Indiana State Bar or be able to complete admission to Indiana State Bar within one year. Must have experience working in a highly-regulated environment requiring the successful navigation of a complex legal and regulatory landscape in support of projects, programs or business activities. Should have familiarity with Common Rule and other federal laws and regulations impacting research and human subject protections. Must be Certified IRB Professional (CIP) at time of employment; or required within one years of being in the position. Knowledge of federal regulations for the protection of human subjects in research required. Basic office computer and software skills required; working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite preferred. Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and scientific terminology desired.
