IP Litigation Resource Attorney

Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced IP Litigation Resource Attorney to join its team. This attorney will support the firm’s IP Litigation practice by providing resources, keeping the team updated on legal and regulatory developments, assisting in the preparation of publications, and developing internal practice materials. This role does not involve direct client representation, nor will time be billed to clients.

Location:

• Palo Alto, CA

Duties:

• Stay current on legal and regulatory developments relevant to the IP Litigation practice.
• Develop topics and assist in preparing client alerts, white papers, blog posts, and other publications.
• Create and maintain internal resources to facilitate the exchange of knowledge within the IP Litigation group.
• Maintain and update archives of work product and know-how.
• Assist in coordinating speaking engagements, webinars, and related materials.
• Work with the Marketing department on branding, market trends, and business development opportunities.
• Provide support to Marketing for RFP responses and other business development initiatives.
• Ensure consistency, know-how, and approach within the group for client interactions.
• Coordinate with Professional Development to ensure skill development and training within the group.
• Collaborate with Information Services to assess technologies and develop solutions that enhance group efficiencies.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in patent litigation, with some experience in trade secret litigation.
• Licensed attorney in good standing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong drafting skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise documents.
• Ability to present confidently and engage with various audiences.
• Highly organized, with strong time management and attention to detail.
• Proactive, self-starter who thrives in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong intellectual ability with solid interpersonal and technical skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills:

• Deep understanding of patent and trade secret law.
• Familiarity with industries, particularly technology and life sciences.
• Proficient in legal research and document preparation.
• Strong technical skills and ability to implement efficient solutions.
• Excellent organizational and project management capabilities.
