A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Houston, TX, to manage a diverse docket of First-Party Property and General Liability defense matters. The ideal candidate will be admitted to practice in both Texas and Louisiana and will play a key role in litigation efforts across these jurisdictions.

Duties

• Independently manage a high-volume caseload of complex litigation matters from inception through trial or settlement.
• Draft comprehensive pleadings, motions, and discovery requests; conduct legal research to guide client strategy.
• Represent clients in depositions, court appearances, and mediations; prepare witnesses and experts for trial.
• Maintain regular, professional communication with clients, providing clear guidance on legal issues and potential exposure.
• Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Must be admitted to the Bar in both Texas and Louisiana (Active and in Good Standing).
• Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, with specific exposure to both First-Party Property and General Liability defense preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in Texas and Louisiana.
