A law firm seeks a Business Litigation Counsel to join its practice in Huntsville, Alabama. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in representing companies and financial institutions in single plaintiff litigation, with a focus on consumer loans and mortgage-related cases.

Duties

• Represent clients in business litigation matters.
• Handle cases involving consumer loans and mortgage-related litigation.
• Draft pleadings and legal documents.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Appear in state and federal courts in Alabama.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in business litigation.
• Licensed to practice law in Alabama.
• Experience in state and federal courts in Alabama preferred.
• Excellent understanding of civil procedure.
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Alabama; additional licenses in Mississippi, Georgia, Tennessee, or Kentucky are a plus.

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in legal research and writing.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
