Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Professional Support Lawyer in New York City, NY. The role involves supporting the Americas Capital Markets Group with a focus on US securities law, including IPOs, SPAC IPOs, and corporate governance issues. The candidate will help develop a US securities knowledge and innovation strategy, shape policy, and implement projects to meet the Group's needs.

Duties

• Provide legal, market, and practical US securities law expertise to the Group.
• Organize, design, and deliver training for US and non-US qualified lawyers.
• Monitor and inform the Group about developments in US securities law.
• Draft and update US securities standard forms and practice notes.
• Contribute to global innovation and knowledge programs.
• Assist with technical US securities law-related questions.

Requirements

• Sound legal experience in Capital Markets in a large law firm.
• Experience advising on public and private US and Global offerings of securities.
• At least five years' experience as a securities attorney.

Education

• Bachelor's degree with Juris Doctorate.

Certifications

• Licensure in good standing in at least one of the United States, preferably New York.
