Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Commercial Litigation Associate in Los Angeles, California. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in complex commercial litigation, including false advertising and consumer class actions. This role offers the opportunity to work with dedicated professionals in a collaborative environment.

Duties

• Manage all aspects of commercial litigation from inception through trial and appeal.
• Draft complex case evaluations, briefs, pleadings, and motions.
• Oversee discovery processes, including documents, written discovery, and depositions.
• Take and defend depositions, and collaborate with fact witnesses and experts.
• Engage with clients, witnesses, experts, and other counsel.
• Attend hearings and assist in litigation proceedings.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of complex commercial litigation experience, including false advertising and consumer class actions.
• Strong writing and case management abilities.
• Experience handling clients and adversaries, with excellent oral advocacy skills.
• Deposition and court experience preferred.
• Previous law firm experience strongly preferred.
• Federal District Court or Appellate clerkship is a plus.
• Must be licensed to practice law in the State of California and be in good standing.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in California.
