Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Cybersecurity, Privacy & AI Associate to join their team in Los Angeles. Duties
- Advise clients on state and federal privacy laws.
- Conduct deal diligence in mergers and acquisitions, financings, and commercial transactions.
- Provide strategic counseling on product development and governance programs.
- Handle data breach investigations and defense of regulatory enforcement actions.
- Support litigation and incident response efforts.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with state and federal privacy laws.
- Experience in conducting deal diligence in M&A and commercial transactions.
- Familiarity with data-driven technologies, including AI/ML and biometrics.
- Working knowledge of GDPR/UK GDPR frameworks and international data transfers preferred.
- Experience with data breach response and defense of enforcement actions a plus.
- Large law firm experience required.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
Certifications
- Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
