Junior Associate Attorney needed for New York City office

Job Overview: A law firm specializing in healthcare regulatory and corporate transactional law is seeking a Junior Associate Attorney to join its team in New York City. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of relevant experience, preferably gained at a large law firm, strong academic credentials, and exceptional skills in legal writing, research, analysis, and communication.

Job Duties:

• Conduct legal research on healthcare regulatory issues and corporate transactions.
• Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and regulatory filings.
• Assist senior attorneys in preparing for negotiations, hearings, and trials.
• Analyze and interpret laws, rulings, and healthcare and corporate law regulations.
• Provide legal advice and support to clients on regulatory compliance matters.
• Participate in client meetings and conference calls and communicate legal strategies effectively.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility for admission via waiver.
• 2-3 years of experience in healthcare regulatory and corporate transactional law, preferably at a large law firm.
• Excellent academic credentials with a strong GPA.
• Demonstrated ability in legal research, writing, analysis, and communication.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with healthcare laws, regulations, and industry practices.
• Experience in corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, or related fields.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and software.

Certifications (if applicable):

• Any relevant certifications in healthcare law or corporate law would be advantageous.
