Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in the Atlanta, GA area to join its Federal Employment Litigation Team. The firm offers a supportive environment where attorneys gain hands-on litigation experience and direct client contact, primarily in administrative law. The role involves working closely with senior attorneys and prioritizing team success.

Duties

• Bill 1,560 hours per year.
• Engage in direct client contact.
• Manage full-cycle litigation for cases before the EEOC, MSPB, OFO, OSC, and OPM.
• Draft legal memoranda, complaints, motions, discovery requests, briefs, and other documents.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Negotiate settlement agreements.
• Conduct hearings in person, telephonically, and via video-conference.
• Advise clients on employment matters.

Requirements

• Experience representing federal employees in employment claims or federal court litigation is preferred.
• Active bar license in any U.S. state.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong time management skills, including multitasking and managing competing deadlines.
• Outstanding attention to detail.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active bar license in the United States.
