Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Lead Personal Injury Attorney in Carrollton, Texas, to manage a growing caseload. The role involves handling both litigation and pre-litigation cases, with a focus on car accidents and other personal injury matters. The attorney will work closely with a team of skilled Paralegals and Legal Assistants to provide personalized client service.

Duties

• Manage a team of three with a caseload of 100 cases, primarily pre-litigation.
• Formulate strategies for legal action and negotiations.
• Review and revise demand letters, pleadings, discovery, and responses.
• Conduct depositions, mediations, motions, and trial work.
• Ensure thorough and efficient case progression.
• Provide client support and maintain strong client relationships.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of litigation experience in personal injury law.
• Experience with at least 20 depositions and 7 mediations.
• Prior trial experience, first or second chair.
• Proficiency in drafting Stowers demands and other legal documents.
• Strong communication, research, and writing skills.
• Excellent negotiation and mediation abilities.
• Experience with Neos case management software is a plus.

Education

• JD Degree with a license to practice in Texas.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Texas.
