RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide instruction In:

Close Quarters Training (CQT) Course

CQT Enabler (CQTE) Course

Urban Reconnaissance and Surveillance (R&S) Course

Ground Interoperability Training (GIT)

Maritime Interoperability Training (MIT)

Additionally LSR Instructors must be able to provide SME and support for the following exercises:

Realistic Urban Training (RUT)

Amphibious Ready Group / MEU Exercise (ARGMEUEX)

Composite Unit Training Exercise (COMPTUEX)

As required, LSR Instructors must also be able to support the following courses:

Raid Leaders / Planners Course

Company Raid Course

TRAP Course

Support to ATB Training

Responsible for all administrative duties resulting from providing specialized training support services

Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Possess an active US Secret Clearance

Honorably discharged, prior Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) or above in the U.S. Armed Forces holding the Military Occupational Skill (MOS) of 0302, 0307, 0321, 0317, 0370, 0372 (USMC), SO/ EOD (USN), 18Z, 18F, 18B, 18C, 18D, and 18E (USA), and Combat Control (CCT) or Para-rescue (PJ) (USAF)

Marksmanship/Weapons Proficiency verified in past three (3) years by achieving or having achieved USMC Close Quarters Tactics certification or other Service/Joint Service/Civilian equivalent

Small Unit Leadership Skills verified by completion of USMC Sergeant's Course (or higher), Professional Military Education (PME) or other Joint Service, Interagency, or Civilian (e.g. Law Enforcement) equivalent leadership course

Successful completion of at least one (1) of the following courses, as evidenced by an appropriate certificate of completion: USMC Reconnaissance, Naval Special Warfare, Marine Corps Special Operations, Army Special Operations or Joint Special Operations Courses

Knowledge on how to operate military weapons to include standard small arms (e.g., M16, M4, M249, MK13, M9); as well as both day and night military optics/sights (optics include, but are not limited to, AN/PVS- 31A's, AN/PVS-15's, AN/PEQ-16B's, AN/PAS-29A's (thermals), AN/PEQ15's, and AN/PAS-22's)

Effective land navigation skills and ability to operate global positioning systems (GPS)

User-type knowledge of field communications equipment, specifically AN/PRC-117, AN/PRC-148, AN/PRC-150, AN/PRC-153, and other military radios

Must be physically capable of performing all tasks specified in the Performance Work Statement or perspective area of expertise

Possess a current certification in Basic First Aid and Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

Must be able to obtain a contractor's common access card, which will stand as identification for instructors and will enable them to access government owned computer equipment and Non-secure Internet Protocol (NIPR)

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Knowledge of common commercial computer applications (Outlook, Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, etc.) to produce a variety of documents, charts, graphs and briefing materials and devices/equipment (tablets, smartphones, etc.) to present and execute training

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS

USMC Sergeant's Course (or higher) Professional Military Education (PME) or other Joint Service, Interagency, or Civilian (e.g. Law Enforcement) equivalent leadership course

One of the following USMC Reconnaissance, Naval Special Warfare, Marine Corps Special Operations, Army Special Operations or Joint Special Operations Courses

Basic First Aid and Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

Graduate of Special Operations Advanced Mountaineering Course

Graduate of EOTG HRST Master Course or Other Service/Joint Service equivalent course

American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA) Single Pitch Instructor Certification

DD-214 Certificate bearing the requisite characterization of service and MOS

Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.
