A law firm seeks an Innovation Lawyer - Finance in Kansas City, MO. This role is embedded within the Technology Department and aligned with the Corporate & Finance Transactions Department. The position focuses on developing and advancing AI strategies for transactional lawyers, particularly in finance. The successful candidate will engage in firm-wide projects, collaborating with lawyers and business professionals to implement AI transformation across the firm's global network.

Duties

• Identify high-value AI use cases across Finance Teams.
• Support AI platform pilots and standardize successful solutions.
• Provide AI support and training to lawyers and associates.
• Develop and deliver AI-related presentations and training.
• Collaborate with Knowledge Solutions and Innovation teams.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a finance lawyer in a large US or international law firm.
• Experience in a legal technology role or a strong interest in AI.
• Understanding of legal finance workflows and a process-driven mindset.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Service-oriented with a flexible and adaptable approach.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar admission in at least one US jurisdiction.

Skills

• Proven ability to influence and drive change.
• Experience in product development and management is desirable.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX concepts and process mapping.
