Duties

• Advise on tax-exempt organization laws, including maintaining tax-exempt status and compliance.
• Provide counsel on nonprofit governance matters and best practices.
• Engage in transactions and restructurings involving nonprofits.
• Advise on philanthropy for high net worth individuals or businesses.
• Participate in international activity and grantmaking.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of relevant experience in tax-exempt organizations or nonprofit law.
• Excellent writing, legal research, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent matters independently.
• Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset.
• Professional maturity and high ethical standards.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to and a member in good standing of the bar in the jurisdiction of the office location.
