The position involves client advocacy, legal drafting, court appearances, and strategic case management.

Duties:

• Represent clients in court proceedings, arbitrations, and before administrative bodies

• Draft, revise, and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery

• Conduct comprehensive legal research using platforms such as Lexis-Nexis

• Provide legal counsel to clients on civil matters and transactional risks

• Negotiate favorable resolutions, including settlements and alternative dispute resolutions

• Manage caseload from inception to closure, ensuring deadlines and procedural requirements are met

• Collaborate with internal legal staff and maintain detailed case files

• Communicate regularly with clients, offering updates and strategic recommendations

Requirements:

• Experience in civil litigation

• Proficient in courtroom and procedural rules in California state courts

• Demonstrated experience managing cases independently from intake to resolution

• Adept at multitasking across numerous files and matters simultaneously

• Strong organizational and project management capabilities

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Active and good standing membership with the State Bar of California

Skills:

• Excellent legal research and analytical thinking

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• High-level drafting and document preparation proficiency

• Ability to foster and maintain client relationships
