Job Overview

A law firm seeks a bankruptcy and restructuring attorney in New York with over three years of experience in Chapter 11 and Chapter 15 cases, as well as out-of-court restructurings. The ideal candidate will have experience on the creditor side and/or in-court debtor work, with a preference for cross-border restructuring experience.

Duties

• Develop deep knowledge of related practice areas' law and argue complex technical points persuasively.
• Lead and supervise negotiations, exercising judgment in making complex decisions on behalf of clients.
• Forge deep relationships with clients, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor.
• Manage all aspects of client matters, delivering client service excellence.
• Promote a collegiate culture that respects diversity and encourages inclusion.
• Promote the firm as a thought leader through publications and speaking opportunities.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Chapter 11 and Chapter 15 cases.
• Experience with creditor-side and/or in-court debtor work.
• Banking transaction experience in leveraged finance, private credit, or infrastructure finance is a plus.
• Proactive, collaborative, with strong organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Education

• U.S. J.D. required.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar required.
