Duties

• Represent beneficiaries, executors, and trustees in estate and trust administration.
• Participate in client meetings and advise high-net-worth individuals and families.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on estate administration and tax issues.
• Manage Surrogate's Court calendar and attend proceedings as necessary.
• Collaborate with attorneys to address complex matters.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• License to practice law in good standing in New York.
• 5+ years of experience in trusts and estates, focusing on estate administration.
• Experience with estate tax returns and federal/state tax compliance.
• Estate planning experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Experience supervising junior attorneys or paralegals is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
