Duties:

• Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare persuasive written briefs and motions

• Evaluate liability exposure, damages, and potential loss scenarios

• Manage client communications, budgeting, billing, and case progress tracking

• Prepare and respond to written discovery

• Conduct and defend depositions

• Appear in court as necessary, with familiarity in rules governing state, federal, and local proceedings

• Collaborate with internal teams while also managing independent responsibilities

• Maintain required billable hour targets

• Participate in occasional travel for hearings, depositions, or client meetings

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in Texas

• Prior experience in civil litigation or insurance defense matters preferred

• 1-5 years of experience preferred

• Demonstrated ability to draft legal documents and effectively communicate complex ideas

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines

• Proficiency with legal and office software systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed by the State Bar of Texas

Skills:
