Job Overview

A law firm seeks an associate to join the Securities and Capital Markets Group in Chicago, IL. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with shareholders and engage in business development and client-facing activities within a multidisciplinary practice.

Duties

• Collaborate with team members on corporate, securities, and capital markets transactions.
• Participate in debt and equity offerings and M&A transactions.
• Ensure compliance with SEC reporting requirements.
• Engage in client development and relationship management.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of experience in corporate, securities, capital markets, and M&A at an AM Law 100 firm.
• Experience with debt and equity offerings, M&A transactions, and SEC compliance.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Education

• J.D. degree with strong academic credentials.

Certifications

• Admitted and in good standing in Illinois, New York, District of Columbia, or Florida.

Skills

• Strong transactional skills.
• Experience with securitizations and aviation clients is an asset.
