Duties

• Assist with business transactions such as entity selection, formation, and mergers and acquisitions
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other transactional documents
• Conduct legal research and provide analysis on a variety of business law issues
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to ensure client needs are met
• Build and maintain client relationships, offering sound legal advice and support

Requirements

• 0-2 years of experience in business transactions or relevant coursework
• Strong organizational, research, and writing skills
• Desire to grow and develop a practice within a law firm setting

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the State of North Carolina (or eligible to waive in)

Skills

• Knowledge of transactional law, including entity formation and contract drafting
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
