Duties:

• Represent creditors in collections litigation, focusing on enforcing creditor’s rights in Wisconsin and other regional states.
• Provide legal counsel and advice to clients on creditor’s rights and collection strategies.
• Draft and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Conduct legal research related to collections law, creditor’s rights, and enforcement procedures.
• Manage a caseload of collection-related cases, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and hearings.
• Utilize technology and case management systems to organize case files and track progress.

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in Wisconsin.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple cases.
• Ability to effectively negotiate and advocate on behalf of clients.
• Willingness to learn and grow in the field of collections and creditor’s rights law.
• Recent law school graduates are encouraged to apply.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Must be licensed to practice law in Wisconsin.
