A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate Attorney in Sacramento, CA, with two to three years of experience to manage cases across all litigation phases. This role involves working on complex litigation matters and collaborating with seasoned litigators.

Duties

• Handle litigation matters through all phases, including pre-litigation strategy and post-trial proceedings.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests and responses.
• Conduct and defend depositions, and prepare witnesses for hearings.
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic analysis on disputes.
• Appear at hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit preparation and coordination with experts.
• Collaborate with partners and clients to develop litigation strategy.
• Prepare matters for mediation and trial, developing case themes and coordinating tasks.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts to advance cases.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
• 2-3 years of complex commercial litigation experience.
• Experience drafting dispositive and non-dispositive motions.
• Deposition experience preferred.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
