Job Overview
A law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney licensed in New Jersey to represent clients in a variety of civil litigation matters. This remote role involves handling litigation cases from early stages through discovery while working closely with clients and litigation teams. The position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of litigation while collaborating with experienced attorneys in a supportive environment.

Duties

• Represent clients in civil litigation matters through various stages of the litigation process in matters involving professional liability or labor and employment
• Attend court appearances, hearings, depositions, and case management conferences when required
• Conduct legal research and assist with discovery investigations
• Draft pleadings, motions, affidavits, legal memoranda, settlement agreements, and other litigation documents
• Prepare and respond to discovery requests and review discovery materials
• Analyze deposition testimony and prepare case summaries and litigation updates
• Negotiate with opposing counsel to resolve disputes and settle claims when appropriate
• Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case developments, legal strategy, and status updates

Requirements

• Active license to practice law in the State of New Jersey
• Familiarity with New Jersey court procedures and litigation practice
• Prior experience in civil litigation preferred
• Experience drafting discovery documents, conducting depositions, and arguing motions preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced legal environment while managing multiple matters

Education and Certifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Admission to the New Jersey State Bar
