Job Overview:
A respected civil litigation and creditors’ rights law firm is seeking a Bankruptcy Attorney to join its Cleveland, OH office. This full-time position focuses on managing Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases from start to finish. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, demonstrate proficiency in legal research and drafting, and thrive in a collaborative legal environment.

Location:

• Cleveland, Ohio

Duties:

• Manage and oversee a personal caseload of Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases

• Prepare, file, and review all necessary bankruptcy documents and pleadings

• Represent clients in bankruptcy court proceedings and 341 meetings

• Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and other court filings

• Monitor case progress and compliance with legal deadlines and procedures

• Collaborate with legal staff to maintain accurate and timely case management

• Stay current on changes in bankruptcy laws, procedures, and court rulings

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in bankruptcy law

• Proven ability to manage Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcy cases independently

• Strong knowledge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code and federal/local court procedures

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the state of Ohio (in good standing)

Skills:

• Strong legal research and drafting skills

• Excellent oral and written communication abilities

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management capabilities

• Ability to work independently and efficiently under minimal supervision

• Proficiency in legal software and case management tools
