Job Title: Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm located in Brooklyn, NY, is seeking an accomplished Litigation Attorney to join its high-performing trial team. This role involves leading complex personal injury and civil litigation cases through every stage of the trial process—from initial client intake to verdict. The ideal candidate brings courtroom leadership, strategic litigation insight, and a passion for advocacy in both state and federal jurisdictions.

Duties:

• Initiate lawsuits and conduct detailed client consultations

• Manage written discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests

• Take and defend depositions of fact witnesses and expert witnesses

• Engage and manage expert consultants throughout the litigation lifecycle

• Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and other pre-trial proceedings

• Prepare for and conduct jury trials to verdict, acting as lead trial attorney

• Handle post-trial motions and follow-up litigation strategy

• Participate in internal case audits and attorney development clinics

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in New York, in good standing

• Documented history of jury trial success, including at least two first-chair trials

• Experience managing a high-volume litigation docket independently

• Proven ability to mentor and guide supporting litigation staff

• Excellent verbal advocacy and persuasive writing capabilities

• Demonstrated negotiation and dispute resolution expertise

• Strategic thinker with strong litigation and courtroom instincts

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar

Skills:

• Leadership in trial and pre-trial litigation strategy

• Proficient in legal research tools and case management systems

• Comfortable with high-stakes negotiations and client relations

• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask under pressure
