A law firm in Rockford is currently hiring an Attorney with 0-10 years of civil rights experience. The ideal candidate should hold a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school and possess an active State of Illinois and/or Missouri Law license in good standing.

Duties:

• Provide legal representation to clients in civil rights cases, addressing issues such as discrimination, constitutional violations, and police misconduct.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to build strong case strategies.
• Draft, review, and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, and appellate briefs.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, negotiations, and alternative dispute resolution processes.
• Collaborate with clients, community organizations, and colleagues to advocate for justice and equality.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school.
• Active State of Illinois and/or Missouri Law license in good standing.
• 0-10 years of relevant experience in civil rights law.
