A respected law firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Career Associate to join its Insurance & Reinsurance Litigation Practice Group. The ideal candidate will bring at least five years of litigation experience, specifically in handling insurance coverage and bad faith litigation matters. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of complex cases in both insurance and non-insurance litigation contexts. Candidates must demonstrate strong legal acumen, self-direction, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a team of legal professionals.

Location:

• Los Angeles

Duties:

• Handle complex litigation matters, including insurance coverage and bad faith litigation

• Manage additional non-insurance litigation cases as required

• Appear and litigate in California state and federal courts

• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and briefs

• Collaborate with legal teams while maintaining the ability to work independently

• Strategize and execute litigation plans effectively

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, with a focus on insurance and reinsurance matters

• Extensive experience in California state and federal courts

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Strong collaborative and communication skills

• Admission to the California Bar in good standing

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active and good standing membership with the California State Bar

Skills:

• Excellent legal research and writing abilities

• Deep understanding of insurance coverage under general liability and property/casualty policies (preferred)

• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
